BOOKS : RECONTEXTUALIZATION

In this project for students enrolled in both Angie’s and Mark’s classes, the starting point is the classic tale Hansel and Gretel by the Brothers Grimm. Our students defamiliarize the familiar by creating conceptual and visual linkages between the text and an assigned SF neighborhood. All photography is generated by the students.
